EMERGENCY

ER (TV series) via Wikipedia

”Just when I thought that our group would not have cases for our ER rotation, the last day came.”

ER experience is the best, so far. And I’m hoping there’ll be more exciting things to come.

-----------------

Our duty was in Angono General Hospital, E.R, under Sir Edwin Malic.
We share duty hours with Unciano -- so that’s 4 hours Emergency Room, 4 hours IE room.
Alternate kami kung 2-6 and 6-10. So ayun na nga, ganyan sched sa duty.
During the first few days, napansin ko, pag sila nasa ER, napaka daming tao tsaka parang lagi silang nagkakagulo, tapos pag turn na namin, wala, chill na chill lang, pasanda-sandali may dadating (na patient) , tapos chill ulit, may dadating, chill ulit (mejo didiscuss si sir), ganun ganun lang.
Same thing happened every single day.
Tapos, nung last day, eto na nga, we were assigned 6-10 sa ER, kasi we had our “case presentation” (hahaha) ng 2-6. Merong isang buntis, for IE, eh that time, dahil siguro last day, medyo maaga umuwi yung mga taga-Unciano, so kami din nag-assist sa IE room.

Half-time

Many people say that the hardest part of college is the junior year.

I can't hardly believe that HALF of my nursing life (and by that, I mean nsg. student life) is over.
..and to think, I almost gave up.

to be honest, I don't enjoy this as much as other students do. sakto lang..

because when at times I feel fulfilled and there's something inside that tells me to go on and continue, I really try to encourage myself to move forward.

Nursing is hard. Everybody knows that.

you just feel fulfilled whenever you do something right, something great, something beyond your duty. ..and that's more than enough salary (at least, for now, :D) you could ever get.

but, it still does not supersede all the stresses I've been through.
honestly, it's not [merely] the subjects that makes it hard, at times, what makes our lives difficult are those people that surrounds us -- selfish people who only seem to think of themselves so much that they tend to irritate and annoy people surrounding them..

I was never a leader, and I never would have dreamed about being one. Because just by merely thinking of the idea itself, I feel like I'm gonna get sick.

anyways,

time flies by so fast. yesterday, I was just a simple nursing student who knows nothing about the course at all. Now, I know little, and I'm trying to learn more.

The path we've taken is dark, we just have to feed our mind, open our eyes, and brighten up whatever is ahead of us.

Yup. I've decided to finish this course. and I'll try my best to enjoy this as much as I can.

..fulfill your short term goals first, then, plan for the long one.

P.S

To nursing,

Tatapusin kita, then, Hello culinary arts! :))

For the Win

How far can we go to get that certain prize?
How much would we sacrifice to attain what we've all been hoping for?
- -the hope for a better life.

How can one describe a better life?

For a beggar, food for the day. For street children, shelter for the night. For lowly peasants, a highly-paid job.
For plain, hard-working student, perfect quizzes and passing grades.
For the rich and famous, privacy.

It is a given fact that we cannot always get what we want out of life. Pain and hardships are just simple compromises.

... and that is how reality works.
Life throws you the game, you determine the rules all by yourself --- then, you play.

That is how people differ from one another. Winning is never an issue, but how you play the game reflects who you really are, how you played by the rules, and how you exerted your effort on the game --- the game, we call LIFE.

Lucban

(Honestly, I prefer to keep my blogs on my multiply site. But anyways, yeah! :D)

---------------

We went to 'kamay ni hesus' , in Lucban,Quezon yesterday.
The trip was tiring but I had fun there.
300+ steps, so basically you really really need to bring water. :D

Had lunch at my cousin's house in Calamba.

(actually, I'm not in the mood to post a blog today. So that's it for a while)
